Squareface REVIEW

SQUAREFACE REVIEW

Description :

Squareface is a premium 3rd-person action adventure game designed for iOS.
Your square-faced, cool, adventurous, paper character finds itself in an unknown and very engaging universe and has to uncover the mystery of the cardboard, paper figurines. The character will learn great skills to master the environment and to confront its arch nemesis in an intriguing and suspenseful action story.

APP DESCRIPTION

Squareface actually feels more like a console game than a mobile one.

It’s powered by the Unreal Engine. and delivers an engaging tale that features a protagonist with, well, a square face. He’s also made out of paper.

Van Cubo’s intriguing and surrealistic game is an excellent and engaging third-person adventure perfect for anyone who’s a fan of games like Tearaway, Katamari Damacy, or LittleBigPlanet.

It’s hip to be a square

Squareface throws you right into the action with very little fanfare. You’re a fellow with a cube for a head and a penchant for beating up bad guys with a matchstick – at least in the beginning. That, and exploring a vast 3D world.

The world is detailed and gorgeous, with items to examine, nooks and crannies to explore, and plenty of reasons to look around the environment for new things to try.

You can tap buttons on remotes, items to take a closer look, and perform a myriad of other interactions while trying to figure out who you are and what, exactly, is going on.

Where the real fun lies is within clearing areas of enemies and figuring out where to head next. It never ceases to be fun.

A console-sized game on a bite-sized device

Squarefacejust works. It’s got excellent visuals, a great control scheme, and a fun combat system.

It’s just so meaty, and I found myself immediately drawn into it.

The bottom line

If you want to play something a little more substantial than another clicker or endless runner, you might want to consider giving Squareface a try.

It’s lengthy, great-looking, and should take you quite a while to complete it – if you want it to end that is.
